Over the next few days, i would be releasing photos that i took during the photoshoot. It's the first time i ever spent money and time on art that i am not required by the school to do. I did it for me, myself.

The photographs each signify a keyframe of my current 'story', where i must get rid of the side of me that hates, that holds grudges, that thinks of posion thoughts, that sins. It is kind of giving this other self a face, an identity, so that i can distinguish him in situations and take appropriate actions.

Need to get you out www.deviantart.com/deviation/4… - Identifying and introducing the other self.

Your Expression www.deviantart.com/deviation/4… - His expressions of my isolating him.

Lost for words www.deviantart.com/deviation/4… - He is embarrassed.

Is he gone? www.deviantart.com/deviation/4… - Have i gotten rid of him?

The latest photograph is the conclusion of this set. Now i'm working on a video which features behind the scene images haha.

Well i think you guys have pretty much seen my shoes but i have decided that i will be painting shoes for money now. Paint costs money too ya know! Below are the list of my shoes which i will compile. They seem a few now but i'm hoping to see the day that it reaches at least 15 pairs of shoes that i have designed and created.

Genesis Shoes - www.deviantart.com/deviation/3…
Megas Shoes - www.deviantart.com/deviation/3…
Spitfire Shoes - www.deviantart.com/deviation/3…
589 Shoes - www.deviantart.com/deviation/3…
Godspeed Shoes - www.deviantart.com/deviation/3…
Venom Shoes - www.deviantart.com/deviation/3…

For those interested to have their shoes painted by me, here's how it works.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Location
Orders are generally for residents residing in Singapore. International orders are accepted but i will agree only if i have worked out the details (delivery method, payment issues, designs).

Service
My service includes the design for the shoe. If the customer provides me with a design of their own, i will not replace theirs with my own. Alterations to their designs might be needed to fit the shoe or any other possible reasons. Consultation will take place before such a change happens. However, there will not be any change in the fee if the customer provides their design. I will also name their shoe accordingly unless the customer has specified a name of their own choice.

The method i carry out is generally painting. I do not do prints for shoes or any shoe alterations so please keep that in mind. I also do not paint shoes that are racist, contains anime characters, anti-Christ or satanic, or otherwise socially-negative themed.

Fee
My charges are all in Singapore Dollars (SGD). I accept money transfer to my account or direct cash payment. Mailing cash is acceptable but be warned that if the money is lost in the mail, i will not be held responsible. Credit card, cheques and any other form of payment are NOT accepted. An online currency converter can be found at this www.xe.com/ucc/.

The fee does NOT include the cost of the shoe. Shoes can be sent to me in person (local) or mailed to me (international). I can also proceed to purchase the plain shoes but would have to charge extra for convinience fee. Note that shoes should be made of canvas. I would however suggest that you buy it yourself as you can try on if it is the correct fit.

Duration and Collection
Please allow 1 to 3 weeks for me to paint the shoe, depending on the amount of orders i'm handling at the moment. This alloted time may or may not include the time for discussion of the shoe designs and plannings. If transferring money to my account, please inform me beforehand. You can then collect your shoes only after i have recieved the money. If passing the cash to me directly, we can meet in person and i will hand over the shoe when you pass me the total payment fee.

In the event that you wish to have your shoe urgently, in a shorter time than the stated duration, i may be able to quicken the order but will have to charge more.

Touch up
The shoe will definitely fade slightly but in the case where the shoe becomes too faded due to defect in the paint, please drop me an email to me. I would see what i am able to do. There may be a small fee to do touch up. If you have not followed the proper shoe care technics, fading may occur and i will not be responsible for those actions.

Shoe care
If shoe is dirty, rinse it in soap water. Avoid scrubbing if possible. Fabric paint can withstand waters of up to 40°C (100°F).

Do not step into mud puddles or any other unclean environment as it will prompt scrubbing when it is being washed.

Avoid coating the shoe in any form of paint fixative. It may cause damage to the shoe or the canvas.

Avoid kicking hard surfaced and/or rough objects. It will cause the paint to be scratched or dirty.

DISCLAIMER [ v1.0 ]
Any designs that i create for the shoes are my property. Images that contain trademarks or copyright material from any other artist or company will be properly acknowledged. I will have the right to upload images of the completed shoe onto Deviantart.com or any other online or offline media. I will however inform the owner of the specific image of the shoe of it first. Shoes that i paint will have my signature on the underside of the shoe tongue, most probably the right sided shoe, but in some cases, both. I will not be responsible for any damage to the shoe prior to my service and/or any deliberate damage to the shoe or the coating of paint on the shoe.

I am contactable through messaging in DA or through email at genesis.ac@gmail.com. Please include a proper title for the heading. Thank you!

My shoes are finally on display! Click this www.deviantart.com/deviation/3… to view it.

Before the shoe prototype submission, i asked my friend to paint them for me, seeing that she's a fine artist in my school. When she finished and passed them to me, i was very disappointed. It was very very very amateurly done. She used the wrong type of fabric paitn and the distortion was way too much. Plus, she didnt bother to perfect it. I told her it was quite nice though. Went and bought another pair to paint them myself. Even if i dont win, i still made some money because they gave us $80 reimbursement for the shoes. Of course i would want to win. I need to buy a new cell phone. Mine's spoiling.

I am pretty disapointed with the way they displayed my shoes. They used a silver cloth and a plastic shoe stand to raise up my shoes. The downside is that they didnt use the silver cloth to cover the plastic stand THEN put my sheo on top. My shoes are encased in a plastic box, alongside another pair by another contestant. The upside is that the pair within the same box as mine totally sucks. It looks poorly done with a bad finish. The paint smudged alot and he used a felt cloth with a crappy painted logo to cover up the Converse logo on the high cut canvas slacks. So by contrast and comparison, my shoes look so much better, thus helping me get votes haha.

Me and Ben peeped into the vote box and both of us got at least 1 vote so far. The other voting slips were overturned or piled up messily so we couldn't see.

I just got a call from the representitive at the mall and i've been informed that i've enetered the finals! YAY! My finalist shoe is titled 'Spitfire' but i will not post a picture yet for fear of thieves lol.

Ben also has one design that got into the finals. I don't really know what's the name but i'll name it 'Bamboo Shoes' for now haha.

So, like, now i gotta make a prototype of the shoes. I'm thinking of getting a pair of white ones then ask my friend to paint them for me. She's a pro at paint mediums and strokes. Told her i would buy her a meal if i won haha. Gotta send in the prototype by 10th May. Wish me luck guys!

I've done up about 2 & 1/2 shoe deisngs. Yipee! Now i'm very stressed with school work though. The exams are a week away and i havent done the major projects (web design and flash animation). God help me :S

These are the introduction and the key point on the poster i read pinned on my school. Finally a design competition i have confidence to join! The wicked thing is that, a person may send in as many designs as he wants! Too bad it's only open to those who will be in Singapore during the course of the event. I'd have to agree though, that the name for the competition is subjective. There's no 'perfect' shoes ever, to each his own.

Anyone with ideas they'd like to contribute to me? :p All suggestions are welcomed! I also require a design template for canvas shoes. Does anybody have that? Not those for cutting out, mind you! It's kinda like the T-shirt templates. Is any non-Singaporean joining the competition? Contact me if you're coming for this competition! :D

All right guys, wish me luck! I will be busy with exams but, heck, i'm gonna try and snag that $3000 moolah! My good-friend, Benjamin is gonna join with me. He's from the other art school in my country, sorta like rivals with my art school haha.
